15. Chattahoochee (A Lot About Livin’ (And a Little ’bout Love), 1992)

“This song was the first song I heard from Alan Jackson, and it was the song that my parents used to play for me all the time when I could barely walk. In a nutshell, I grew up on Alan Jackson, and this song is by far my favorite and most influential song from him.”

14. Nothing Left to Do (Good Time, 2008)

“This one has been overdue and it has spoken. No doubt this is his best music in a decade. Music is country and Alan as usual always scores in writing lyrics.”

13. Little Bitty (Everything I Love, 1996)

“It tells about a couple who start out with almost nothing and have a little bitty house, a little bitty yard, a little bitty dog and a little bitty car, but he sings its all right not to have the most and the best of everything. They raise a family and then it starts all over again. Its pretty neat how he manages to get so many little bitty’s in the song. Its a fast song and probably would be good for dancing the Texas two step. I really like Alan Jackson’s songs because they are mostly old country. This new country music which was first called cross over country and now is called country rock which is great too but I like old country the best with the steel guitars and fiddles and I like all the country legends the best.”

12. This Time (Good Time, 2008)

“This Time” really makes one think about life and what really matters. Alan Jackson sings Classic Country in most of his songs. This type of Classic Country has faded away over the years. I do not like the new wave of country music & will continue to stay away from it until they can get more folks like Alan Jackson.”

11. Drive (Drive, 2002)

“Look to this album for slide and pickin’ guitars, fiddles and big ole dollops of nostalgia, heartache and sincerity. Alan Jackson sings his standard fare; simple, uncomplicated catchy country/pop tunes.”

10. If You Want to Make Me Happy (Good Time, 2008)

“Alan Jackson drove this country song right thru me. Smokey barroom country music. Alan hit this one dead center into the heart of any country music lover.

9. Like Red on a Rose (Like Red on a Rose, 2006)

“Alan Jackson is such a great passionate artist. His ability to a sing a song with the right amount of feeling is incredible. For someone who is not a crazy country loving fan (I don’t hate it certainly, but it’s not my favorite either) this guy really pulled me in with this particular song. It’s so sweet, but not sappy, it’s quiet but not boring, it’s tender but not tiring. It’s a song that will be timeless.”

8. Never Loved Before (Good Time, 2008)

“I love this song. It’s so romantic. Alan Jackson does a great love song. It’s very nicely done and beautiful. This is one of my favorite songs by Alan Jackson.”

7. Where Were You (Drive, 2002)

“Loved this song from the beginning and I still cry every time I hear it. His music is always so beautiful, but when it came to this song he wrote and what this country was dealing with, there is no way anybody can forget this song. It was how we all felt, we all hurt and we all cried. One of the most justified and beautiful song I have ever heard.”

6. Good Time (Good Time, 2008)

“Love, love, love this song. If you haven’t seen the music video for this song, you really need to – awesome song. Having a bad day? Listen to this song & it makes it better. Having a great day? Why not make it that much better by listening to this song? Honestly, really love this song.”

5. Chasin’ that Neon Rainbow (Here in the Real World, 1990)

“Alan has a strong vocal performance that he can’t seem to quite attain nowadays, and it’s an inspiring song to those out there who are struggling to make it into the music business. The writing isn’t too fancy; it’s just short, sweet, and to the point about what Alan is trying to get at, and in doing so, we find ourselves a very solid country song. Can’t go wrong with this one.”

4. Summertime Blues (Who I Am, 1994)

“Alan Jackson’s music is great. I started listening to him in the 1990s. He puts a lot of. Feelings into his music. I recommend this song”

3. Remember When (Greatest Hits Volume II, 2003)

“Possibly one of Alan Jackson’s greatest songs ever released. The power in his words, the emotion in the orchestra, and the movement in the guitar and steel guitar, it’s all been written and recorded to perfection. This song reminds me of a lot of things: Passed loved ones, ex-girlfriends, my childhood, everything in the past that I miss every day, and only wish I could have it back to re-live over and over again. Tears still fall when I listen to it, not only because it reminds me of the bad times, but it reminds me of the good times, and for that, Alan Jackson receives a tip of the hat from me and a high honor as one of the greatest country artists of all time.”

2. Small Town Southern Man (Good Time, 2008)

“Alan Jackson has some really smooth sound going on here, just sitting on the porch and watching the world go by makes this a great song. I really enjoy Alan Jackson’s voice. This song reminds me of my brother. He was one of my heroes….still is.”

1. It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere (Greatest Hits Volume II, 2003)

“I just love this song! I know it can be considered trite or silly or even overdone, but singing with Alan & Jimmy in my car or the shower or someplace private at the top of my lungs can’t be beaten. They just nail it, a real feelgood tune.”
