Alpha Pet unleash ferocious new single ‘Wow’ ahead of debut EP

Swedish rock outfit Alpha Pet have released their explosive new single ‘Wow’, which serves as the final preview of the band’s upcoming self-titled debut EP, due March 27.

‘Wow’ showcases Alpha Pet at their most aggressive yet, combining snarling punk energy with soaring, vintage-style guitar leads. The result is a relentless, riff-driven anthem that evokes the open-road intensity of classic rock while maintaining a modern, confrontational edge.

Lyrically, the song takes aim at car culture and the dominance of vehicle-focused lifestyles. Frontman Rocky 3000 explains that the idea grew out of frustration with societies built around constant driving and oversized vehicles. Ironically, the track’s high-speed riff perfectly captures the thrill of tearing down an empty highway, even while questioning the culture behind it.

Following earlier singles including ‘Mall of Death’, which drew comparisons to David Bowie’s Scary Monsters era, ‘Wow’ signals Alpha Pet’s arrival as one of Sweden’s most unpredictable new rock acts.
