Andy Frasco & The U.N. serve satire with soul on new single ‘Life is Easy’
Andy Frasco & The U.N. are back with ‘Life is Easy’, a sharp-witted folk protest anthem that skewers the chaos of modern life with equal parts humour and heart. Out today, the track features a powerhouse lineup of collaborators including bluegrass virtuoso Billy Strings, cosmic country trailblazer Daniel Donato, Phish’s Mike Gordon, and longtime Frasco cohort Steve Poltz (Jewel, Rugburns).
Threading the needle between satire and sincerity, ‘Life is Easy’ is a rollicking acoustic singalong that lampoons everything from consumer culture to climate despair with foot-stomping charm. Frasco’s signature brand of joyful irreverence shines through lines like “They’re selling us the blood / While they’re all bleeding us,” while rich harmonies and rollicking instrumentation keep the energy high and the message clear.
“This is a song about turning off the news for a little bit and just enjoying life,” Frasco explains. “There’s so much craziness going on in the world—sometimes all we really need to do is go outside and listen to the birds sing.”
