BLOKE return with the provocative new single ‘Money Says’
Experimental noise-rock collective BLOKE has unleashed their latest single ‘Money Says’, marking a thunderous return since their 2023 release ‘Chewed Up’. Emerging from the underground music scenes of London and Berlin, the genre-defying outfit, led by enigmatic German artist Jakob Buraczewski, continue to push the boundaries of psychedelic rock and Krautrock-inspired soundscapes.
‘Money Says’ delivers a powerful critique of capitalism’s pervasive influence on societal interactions. With a playful nod to the game “Simon Says,” the track explores how money subtly shapes our behaviour and decisions. “This subtle agreement can feel like conditioning,” explains Buraczewski. “The melody features a persistent feedback tone and guitar strums that punctuate the social narrative.”
The single is accompanied by a captivating music video, a visual counterpart to the track’s thematic depth. Directed with a keen eye for abstraction, the video transforms the mundane into the extraordinary, blending kaleidoscopic imagery and symbolic metaphors. As the protagonist navigates everyday tasks, reality and the abstract blur together, offering viewers a thought-provoking visual experience that mirrors the sonic journey.
