Brightr shares vulnerable new single ‘Never Home, Never Mind’ ahead of sophomore album ‘Year Two’

UK emo pop artist Brightr returns with his second single from the long-awaited album ‘Year Two’, unveiling the tender and emotionally charged ‘Never Home, Never Mind’. Produced by Matt O’Grady (You Me At Six, Don Broco), the track dials down the tempo after lead single ‘Charles Petrescu’ and ventures into more delicate sonic territory, combining intricate midwest emo guitar lines with Brightr’s signature bittersweet vocal delivery.

Balancing guilt and hope, ‘Never Home, Never Mind’ is a raw confessional about hurting someone you love and striving daily to make things right. “It’s about mistakes,” Brightr explains, “about inflicting sadness on someone you love above everyone else… but about trying every day to do better.” The track’s title encapsulates the internal struggle at the heart of the song.
