BTS Albums Ranked
BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단; RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band that began formation in 2010 and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment.[4] The septet—composed of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—co-writes and co-produces much of their own output. Originally a hip-hop group, their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres. Their lyrics, often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth and coming-of-age, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work features references to literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline. The group has released several albums and performed on several world tours. Throughout their career, BTS received numerous accolades for their work, including 6 American Music Awards, 9 Billboard Music Awards and 24 Golden Disk Awards, and nominations for a Grammy Award and a Brit Award. Following the establishment of their Love Myself anti-violence campaign in partnership with UNICEF, BTS addressed the United Nations 73rd and 75th General Assemblies and became the youngest ever recipients of the Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea due to their contributions in spreading Korean culture and language. Here are all of the BTS albums ranked.

10. Love Yourself 承 ‘Her’ (2017)
“This is where BTS sorta started falling off and the gradual decline in the quality of their music started lol there’s lots of good stuff on here but it finishes with 2 of their worst songs which turns listening through the whole album into a chore n then I end up only putting like half the album on my BTS playlist lol. Singularity is one of the best song’s they’ve ever done though and 134340 and 낙원 are amazing. “
9. Dark & Wild (2014)
“The album is really dark and really wild. The dark style vocals made the album dark(in a cool way) and the rap line made it really wild. Bts is just amazing they meant everything to me. Even when I was depressed I used to hear their songs and I feel better.”
8. BTS World: Original Soundtrack (2019)
“I have no other words to describe this album other than BEAUTIFUL. All of the songs in this album have a very strong meaning behind them, like Dream glow, all they are trying to say is that always follow your dreams”

7. Wings (2016)
“I have always said that the best thing that can happen to BTS members is to do their solo careers to truly exploit their talents, this is the only album that has made me think differently and that truly manages to bring together the talents of all 7 members to achieve a good and consistent album.”
6. The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever (2016)
“This was the start of their world wide domination. I am so freaking proud of these boys, and they have changed the lives of so many people by telling them how important it is to love oneself. They are so inspirational and I would do anything for them. This album is so good and contains many different points of view about youth and other things such as love.”
5. Face Yourself (2018)
“Again, these Bangtan boys are exactly that: bulletproof. I respect them learning another language to put this album out, but also the many, many other languages that their fans come from – worldwide! It shows how much they are willing to not only communicate, but connect with, their fans.”
4. Be (2020)
“This album proves to be a reprieve from reality, while simultaneously acknowledging the state of the world in a truthful (yet optimistic) manner. The emotions portrayed through every song feel so genuine and real, comforting the listener like a much-needed hug in today’s times. Even if the beautiful lyrics fall on lost ears due to language barriers (though I recommend reading the translations along with your listen – it really makes it powerful), the top-tier production and quality instrumentals on every track make for a wonderful experience.”

3. Map Of The Soul: 7 (2020)
“This is the most beautiful piece of art.. that is music. The 7 boys have definitely put their ENTIRE being and soul into this album. It is phenomenal!! The raps are top notch and better than any American rap out today or recently and the songs are just beautiful. Then I read the lyrics and translations and fell in love with this album all OVER again!! It is so deep in so many ways, so complex and pleasing to the ear, a work of PERFECTION.”
2. Map Of The Soul: Persona (2019)
“Every song is amazing. Love the different feels and genres of each song, and every time I think I’ve picked a favorite another one replaces it. Love the pictures and poster in every version too. Each one really captures different feels and personality traits of the guys. Such a great album all around!”
1. Love Yourself 轉 ‘Tear’ (2018)
“This is by far their best work. The entire album manages to pull off complete cohesion while still genre-hopping with perfect dexterity. Each song has complex messages in the lyrics, and all of them mesh multiple genres while still very much remaining true to those genre’s original precepts. The overall tone takes you through a journey of self-discovery, self-deprecation, learning to recognize, and face your inner demons, and becoming yourself, even if that’s at the loss of something, or someone.”
