Bureau De Change unleash fierce new single ‘Dumb Men’
Raucous, loud, and unapologetically bold, Bureau De Change have arrived as an uncompromising force within the UK post-punk scene. Comprised of Flora, Will, Connor, and Louis, the band is made up of musicians who have played across the UK and Europe in other projects before coming together to create something distinct, defiant, and unfiltered.
Following the release of ‘The Potter’s Wheel’, which tackled the deeply ingrained objectification of women, the band now unleashes ‘Dumb Men’, the first single from their second EP. The track is a blistering anthem against catcalling, toxic masculinity, and rape culture, ruthlessly mocking the excuses and justifications often used to defend men’s behaviour.
“Written from personal experience, ‘Dumb Men’ is about taking back autonomy. Throughout my life, I’ve been told to be quieter, less outspoken, and to tolerate unacceptable behaviour. This song is about making those words obsolete and shouting back at the people who try to silence us.”
