CARNE channel 90s shoegaze fury on new single ‘LURK’

Brighton alt-rock outfit CARNE dive headfirst into the shadows with their third single ‘LURK’. A bold detour from their grunge roots, the track blends shoegaze, space rock, and alternative metal, evoking the dark textures of Failure and A Perfect Circle.

Recorded at Brighton Electric Studios, mixed by Jag Jago (The MaccabeesJamie T) and mastered by Kurt Martinez (Soft PlayPixies), ‘LURK’ is a dense, emotionally raw cut that unpacks the sting of unfulfilled desire, where closeness fades into distance, and obsession takes root.

CARNE revive the introspective intensity of the late ’90s with fresh urgency. Think Adore-era Pumpkins meets Is This Desire?-era PJ Harvey, but louder, darker, and defiantly modern.
