Chorduroy unleash chaotic new single ‘Vampiress’
San Diego garage punks Chorduroy return with ‘Vampiress’, a feral blast of fuzzed-out chaos and tongue-in-cheek menace. Recorded straight to tape at Earthling Studios (home to Frankie and the Witch Fingers, Schizophonics), the track captures the band at their heaviest and most unhinged, a far cry from their earlier surf-punk roots.
Lyrically, ‘Vampiress’ dives into the toxic grip of a metaphorical soul-sucker, delivering the pain with sneering charm and plenty of punch. It’s loud, wild, and weirdly addictive.
Since forming in 2019, Chorduroy have evolved from sunny punk upstarts to a heavier, more ambitious force, sharing stages with Thee Oh Sees and Meatbodies. With a music video, tour dates, and a new album on the way in 2026, ‘Vampiress’ marks the beginning of their next, gnarlier chapter.
