City of the Sun return with sweeping new single ‘London’

Brooklyn-based instrumental trio City of the Sun continue their long-awaited return with ‘London’, a richly textured, surf-rock-inspired offering.

Following last month’s cinematic comeback ‘Cinderella Man’, the new single takes a more introspective turn, folding heartbreak and memory into waves of echoing guitar lines and slow-burning rhythms. Written in tribute to the city where the band first connected with a global audience, ‘London’ marks both a sonic and emotional waypoint; expansive, atmospheric, and charged with movement.

Produced by Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Built to Spill), the track blends post-rock spaciousness with jazz and Latin influences, reflecting the band’s diverse makeup: Jon Pita’s Ecuadorian heritage, Marco Bolfelli’s Italian jazz background, and Matty Fasano’s edge from Godmode, all anchored by Zach Para’s rhythmic pulse.
