Day6 (Korean: 데이식스; RR: De-i-sik-seu; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean pop-rock band under the label JYP Entertainment. The group debuted on September 7, 2015, with the EP The Day, which peaked at No.2 on Billboard‘s World Album Chart a week following its release. The band consists of four members: Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon. Originally a six-piece band, Junhyeok departed in February 2016 and Jae departed on December 31, 2021. All of the Day6 members are heavily involved in writing, composing and producing the band’s music. In 2017, the band released two songs every month of the year for their Every Day6 project. By the end of the project, 25 songs were added to their discography, with genres ranging from hard rock and upbeat sing-a-longs to mellow ballads. Their first full-length album, Sunrise, consisted of songs released in the first half of the Every Day6 project. It was number 14 on Billboard‘s The 25 Greatest K-Pop Albums of the 2010s: Staff List, and the project kick-off song “I Wait” was placed No.81 on Billboard‘s The 100 Greatest K-Pop Songs of the 2010s: Staff List. Here are all of Day6 songs ranked.

“This album felt really out of character to me. The first half of the album is generic by American radio dance/pop standards, and the second half is generic by day6 ballad standards. It feels like a compilation of drafts for could-be songs all the way from The Day era. “

“That chorus – I know! They added a few stadium crowd noises right at the right points. Its like it swells to be a rave. The drummer is really kicking it too. The song also shows off the high tenor skillz Day6 has.”

7. Zombie (The Book of Us: The Demon, 2020)

“I shuddered when I heard the start of the first verse, I thought oh no another song going the Winner and Zico Any Song pop song route. It gets better as they lift the melody up higher in the tenor range. I think it is a solid base hit, at least a single perhaps a double. It shows off their vocal abilities nicely, but doesn’t do anything to show off their instrumental or composing abilities.”

“Another crazily solid album if you ask me. I don’t even think it’s just my bias talking when I endlessly praise Day6- I really haven’t been disappointed by them yet. This isn’t my favorite title track nor my favorite album, but I enjoy the whole package quite a bit, with For Me being my standout album track on the first listen.”
