9. Home (2012)
“This album would obviously appeal to country music fans, but is has a lot of rock ‘n roll elements and also the patriotic song “Home.” I also appreciate Dierks for putting a blue grass song on every album. There are a lot of different genres represented.”
8. Dierks Bentley (2003)
“The way he slides his voice around a note that makes me shiver; the surprising melodic riffs that cause me to smile; the fluidity with which the instruments harmonize. And, as you might expect from an artist that gives you all that, the lyrics are poetic and poignant.”
7. Black (2016)
“Mr. Bentley has a wonderful voice – is beautiful – and his songs are all delightful. I particularly like “Freedom” – I play it at full volume and love the part about “the flag on the soldier’s sleeve.” It’s patriotic and expresses what I believe all of us want: “Freedom.” I’m not normally a Country Western fan, but I loved this album. I think it transcends normal music labeling and recommend it to everyone!”

6. Feel That Fire (2009)
“Feel that Fire” is a must have for any level country music fan. It’s the kind of CD that you will find yourself listening to over again from the first track thru the last one. It is full of songs that could all possibly be top single hits.”
5. The Mountain (2018)
“This is an incredible album from start to finish, from my first listen I love it. I am a huge Dierks fan and in my opinion, this is his best. His voice sounds so clean and pure on this one, it truly seems like he has gone back to his roots. I already like it better than Black- you can really hear the beauty in his voice- very crisp.”
4. Long Trip Alone (2006)
” The polish of Long Trip Alone showed his increased confidence and professionalism, and how he wanted to stay at the top after working so hard to arrive. It fits well into mainstream country radio. Bentley can come across as a entirely mainstream country act without losing his sense of self. He’s a savvy songwriter, particularly when he’s slyly incorporating elements of rock or pop into his country.”

3. Riser (2014)
“After quite a few very enjoyable listens, this is a great album. Granted, there’s no “Free & Easy” type songs on this, but the tempo does go up a bit here and there. It’s a personal album on songs like Here On Earth and Riser, and Damn These Dreams but wow they are good songs. I was glad that Back Porch is on this because it’s a nice hang loose song, and deserves to be a single because this should make for a great summertime album..”
2. Modern Day Drifter (2005)
“Bentley has a nice, strong country croon and delivers this straight-ahead neo-traditionalist sound pleasantly and earnestly. Instead of being a true ramblin’ man and forging his own direction, he follows the path that Merle and Waylon created, never stamping it with much of his own personality”
1. Up On The Ridge (2010)
“What makes Up on the Ridge so appealing is that it’s obviously not a commercial record. From start to finish, this is a modern bluegrass album. I’m sure the marketing department would prefer to call it “acoustic,” but with Chris Thile, Del McCoury and The Punch Brothers making appearances, it’s impossible to deny what this album really is.”
