Dreamwave release playful new single ‘Wideshooter’

Bristol’s psych-pop sensations Dreamwave continue their meteoric rise with the release of their latest single ‘Wideshooter’. Known for their dynamic performances that have packed iconic UK venues like Bristol’s Rough Trade and London’s Old Blue Last, as well as festival appearances for tastemakers such as Eat Your Own Ears and Glastonbury, Dreamwave have firmly cemented their place in the indie and psych-rock scene.

Marking a departure from their earlier work, ‘Wideshooter’ showcases the band’s playful, punk-inspired edge while maintaining the psychedelic undercurrent that has defined their sound. Taking inspiration from The B-52’s and Devo, the track dives headfirst into the realms of punk and new wave. It also features bassist Cam stepping up for lead vocals for the first time, with all band members contributing backing vocals for a layered, communal feel.

The release is paired with a DIY spoof-style music video produced, filmed, and edited by the band themselves, further cementing their knack for blending irreverence with creativity.
