Dreamwave share new single ‘Clad Kings’ ahead of upcoming EP ‘Moondogs’
Bristol-based Dreamwave continue to build momentum with their latest single ‘Clad Kings’. Following the success of their debut EP ‘Dreamwave and the Mindcave’, which received critical acclaim from NME, BBC, KEXP, and Radio X, the band is now gearing up for their next chapter with their sophomore EP ‘Moondogs’, arriving on April 25th, 2025.
Dreamwave have made a name for themselves with high-energy, unpredictable live shows, selling out venues across the UK and gaining traction in the European music scene. Their distinctive sound—a hypnotic fusion of psychedelic, post-punk, and garage rock influences—has drawn comparisons to Thee Oh Sees, Allah-Las, Black Angels, and Squid.
‘Clad Kings’ originated as an unplanned five-minute jam between guitarist/vocalist Ben and drummer Alex, recorded in a single take. The track quickly evolved into a layered, immersive sonic experience, with the band adding organs, synths, and countless harmonies, creating a dense, atmospheric production. Exploring themes of outer space exploration and dreamlike escapism, the single leans into the ethereal textures first introduced on ‘Dreamwave and the Mindcave’ standout ‘Hidden Sun’.
