Drop unleashes debut grunge anthem ‘Hey Now’

Independent songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tim Hustad, under the moniker Drop, bursts onto the alt-rock scene with his punchy debut single ‘Hey Now’. The track, a grandiose grunge anthem, channels the raw energy of late ’90s alternative rock, drawing clear influence from icons like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Filter.

Mixed by acclaimed Swedish producer Johan Gustafsson, ‘Hey Now’ is the first of six tracks from Drop’s upcoming EP, promising to showcase a bold and unapologetic soundscape. Hustad delivers a raw and visceral performance here, encapsulating a sound that’s tailor-made for blasting on long car rides or as the emotional undercurrent to pivotal movie scenes.

The debut not only sets the tone for Drop’s upcoming EP but also marks Hustad as an exciting new voice in the grunge and alt-rock revival.
