Duckwrth unleashes explosive new single ‘Toxic Romantic’ ahead of highly anticipated album ‘All American F*ckBoy’
Following the announcement of his third studio LP ‘All American F*ckBoy’, genre-defying artist Duckwrth dives headfirst into chaos with his latest single ‘Toxic Romantic’. A head-thrashing blend of alternative punk-rock and confessional storytelling, the track captures the self-destructive cycles of modern love, where passion and recklessness collide.
Over pulsating production by BLK ODYSSY and Two Fresh, Duckwrth confronts his toxic tendencies with raw honesty, oscillating between self-awareness and indulgence. The lyrics—“I’m so problematic. My baby girl, she can’t stand it”—lay bare the guilt and thrill that fuel his patterns of romantic destruction.
“I’ve been very aware of the bad habits I perpetuate—like entertaining other women while in a relationship—but that awareness didn’t stop me from being selfish in the past,” Duckwrth admits.
The cinematic music video brings his inner conflict to life, following a high-speed desert chase between two versions of himself—one recklessly pursuing temptation, the other fighting for control. The flashing visuals of chaos, performance shots, and adrenaline-fuelled moments blur the lines between desire and restraint, echoing the tension of the song itself.
