ENHYPEN Songs Ranked
Enhypen (Korean: 엔하이픈; RR: Enhaipeun; Japanese: エンハイプン; Enhaipun), commonly stylized as ENHYPEN, is a South Korean boy band formed by Belift Lab (or simply Belift), a joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation. Formed through the 2020 survival competition show I-Land, the group is composed of seven members: Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. Enhypen debuted on November 30, 2020, with the extended play (EP) Border: Day One. The group’s name, Enhypen, was introduced through the live-broadcast of the final episode of I-Land. According to etymology, Enhypen derives its name from the symbol Hyphen (-), that creates new meanings including “Connection, Discovery, & Growth”. Similar to how a hyphen connects different words to discover new meanings, Enhypen aims “to come together to connect, discover and grow together to create a new act”. Here are all of ENHYPEN songs ranked.

8. Blessed-Cursed (DIMENSION : ANSWER, 2022)
“It sounds a bit like old Exo does rock. Exo would have had more impressive and expansive “vocal layering”, but Hybe is not of that SM production style. Yes, I agree that the song is missing that kick it up a notch section. I listened to it three times over, and after a while it does cycle around. Like you could make an hour loop and loose track of time easily of how many times around has it been. Maybe that was the intention?”
7. Go Big Or Go Home (Dimension: Dilemma, 2021)
“Their voices in this are sooooo much more discernible than the title that it’s really mind-blowing why this kind of post treatment wasn’t the one chosen for that one… in the first 25 seconds of the song we can already make out 4 (even if mildly) different timbres and that makes it tremendously more interesting to my ear.”
6. Tamed-Dashed (Dimension: Dilemma, 2021)
“I don’t really know what it means but I think the combination of words is kind of sexy. So I think they were going for something that sounds intriguing and sexy. No one knows what it means but it’s provocative, it gets the people going!!!”

5. Fever (BORDER : CARNIVAL, 2021)
“Vocal autotuning already puts me off, but the song is not that bad. I think if the song was interested in being less subdued I think this could’ve worked. The melody here isn’t bad by any means. It’s got some hooks in the meat. If applied to be just dramatic enough with some energy it could’ve really been a banger. But then again, that’s probably not what they intended the song to be so I can’t fault that.”
4. Drunk-Dazed (BORDER : CARNIVAL, 2021)
“This was a definite step up from their debut track! While I think the fuzzy, indistinct vocal processing adds to the ‘Dazed’ feeling of the song, it doesn’t do the boys any favours in terms of distinguishing themselves.”

3. Let Me In (20 Cube) (Border: Day One, 2020)
“I think this one is better 2nd single choice than “10 months” because it has more meat to it. 10 months sounds like the early drafts of Boy With Luv, whereas this one is has nicer harmonies, more melodic content. Now, it still is a basic kpop song, but it is better crafted, Except for the vocal, which may as well be one singer.”
2. 10 Months (Border: Day One, 2020)
“I think this song will age as one of the best b-sides of the year. It isn’t impressive at first listen but it keeps getting better. I’m now addicted to this and I can’t stop playing it”
1. Given-Taken (Border: Day One, 2020)
“I think that it is a nice song but very safe, very generic, and just way too reminiscent of txt imo. They don’t really have their own sound that establishes or separates them which is important and necessary for a debut I think. Their label should’ve taken a bit more time to develop their sound and image before debuting them so quickly. I want them to have their own identity because listening to the song and watching the music video I still have no idea who they are or any feel for what they are trying to accomplish or project with their look and sound. But I can see that the talent is there and I really like their concept so I’ll be looking forward to their next release to see if they can redeem themselves a bit as it’s obvious that they have a lot of potential.”
