EYRE LLEW release new single ‘Miningsby’

Nottingham alternative-rock trio EYRE LLEW have released their new single ‘Miningsby’, offering an intimate glimpse into the band’s evolving sound and emotional depth.

The song was inspired by vocalist Sam Heaton’s experience supporting a loved one through a period of anxiety. Rather than focusing on dramatic gestures, the track reflects the quieter act of remaining present and offering comfort during difficult moments. Its gentle opening gradually grows into a powerful instrumental swell that mirrors the emotional weight of the subject matter.

Interestingly, the title ‘Miningsby’ came from a technical coincidence. Early demo files recorded in a rural Lincolnshire studio were automatically tagged with the nearby village’s name, which the band later adopted as the song’s title.

Formed in 2014, EYRE LLEW have performed more than 300 independently organised shows across 23 countries. Their expansive, atmospheric style has drawn comparisons to artists such as Sigur Rós, Frightened Rabbit, and Bon Iver.
