Family Man’s new single ‘Company of Portraits’ is a panic attack in motion
Rising post-hardcore outfit Family Man have unveiled their explosive new single ‘Company of Portraits’, a blistering anthem of emotional unravelling and existential panic.
Written after nearly a decade spent living abroad, the track finds frontman Conner Root confronting the fallout of time lost to distance, toxic relationships, and a version of masculinity that only led to isolation. Returning home post-pandemic to find his parents older and life irreversibly changed, Root channels that fury into one of the band’s most unrelenting performances to date.
‘Company of Portraits’ is grief at its loudest; a flailing, chaotic breakdown where everything feels disposable and nothing means what it used to. Thunderous guitars, breakneck drums, and a visceral vocal performance bring that collapse to life in real time.
