FloodHounds return with ferocious new single ‘Own Worst Enemy’
Sheffield alt-rock trio FloodHounds are back with a vengeance. And their new single ‘Own Worst Enemy’ is an absolute powerhouse.
Driven by a snarling, riff-heavy backbone, gritty organ swells and a strutting rhythm section, the track hits with explosive intent. Think the muscular punch of Rage Against The Machine colliding with the sharp, knowing smirk of Arctic Monkeys at their most cutting.
At its core, ‘Own Worst Enemy’ tackles the strain of watching someone spiral and making the difficult decision to step back before their chaos drags you down too. As Flynn explains, it’s about recognising destructive patterns and protecting your own peace.
The release signals the start of FloodHounds’ biggest year yet. Following the sharpened punch of recent singles ‘One Horse Race’ and ‘Black & Blue’, the band have seen a surge in international listeners and major editorial playlist support. Mentored through Launchpad Connect and recently invited to open for Skindred, FloodHounds are fast becoming one of the UK’s most electrifying live acts.
