Friendship Commanders announce new album ‘BEAR’, share explosive single ‘MELT’
Nashville-based heavy duo Friendship Commanders have announced their new album ‘BEAR’, set for release on October 10 via their new label home, Magnetic Eye Records.
To mark the announcement, the band unleash the dynamic new track ‘MELT’, accompanied by powerful, deeply personal music video.
Co-produced with longtime collaborator Kurt Ballou (who also mixed and tracked the instrumentals), ‘BEAR’ explores the ever-elusive idea of belonging, where it happens, and where it decidedly does not. The album promises a balance of ferocity and vulnerability across its ten tracks.
On “MELT,” Audra reflects on feeling out of place among her own gender: “Too loud. Too much. And yet, somehow not enough,” she shares. Musically, the track pairs sugary melodies with biting lyrical honesty, capturing the paradox of trying to belong.
