Friendship Commanders unveil mystical new video for ‘MIDHEAVEN’ ahead of new album ‘BEAR’

With their new album ‘BEAR’ set to drop on October 10 via Magnetic Eye Records, Nashville heavy duo Friendship Commanders have released the striking new video for ‘MIDHEAVEN’, a thunderous, searching track that blends searing post-metal atmospheres with lyrical soul-searching and philosophical weight. The song is taken from the Kurt Ballou-produced LP, marking their most cinematic and emotionally resonant work to date.

Directed and edited by drummer Jerry Roe, with cinematography by Roe and Craig Hill, the video captures the spiraling tension and mysticism at the heart of the track. Frontwoman Buick Audra appears as a quasi-oracle, a nod to the song’s interrogation of astrology, fate, and personal accountability.

“Some days, it’s tempting to blame it all on the sky,” Buick says of the song’s central theme. “This song is about asking where our nature comes from — and whether we ever really had a say.”
