Grocer return with the swaggering new single ‘Packrat’
After following up their much-loved 2022 studio album ‘Numbers Game’ with their highly-praised EP ‘Scatter Plot’ last year, Philadelphia’s Grocer are back for 2024 to deliver their swaggering new single ‘Packrat’.
Lifted from their forthcoming new LP ‘Bless Me’, which is due out on the 19th April, ‘Packrat’ sees them bring back more of that broad and infectious slacker-rock aesthetic they are known for. Brimming with bold and anthemic hooks alongside stellar riffs at every turn, they are returning for the new year with one of their most explosive offerings yet.
Speaking about the new release, the band’s Danielle Lovier said, “Packrat is about feeling stricken with the inability to make decisions and the procrastination paralysis of anxiety. It was our first attempt at opening up our writing process to be more collaborative, and what would ultimately inform the process for the rest of the album. We aimed to focus on the chemistry between us, acknowledging that what we make together has a greater potential than what any one of us can make alone.”
