H_ngm_n unleash pop-punk chaos with new single ‘Spotlight’

Brighton-based duo H_ngm_n are back with ‘Spotlight’, a punchy adrenaline rush of pop-punk grit and emo heart. The single follows their recent track ‘Reach Out’, and marks the start of the band’s journey toward their debut album, expected in summer 2025.

Recorded with producer Daly George (Creeper, Boston Manor, Burnt Tapes) at The Ranch in Southampton, ‘Spotlight’ takes a nostalgic swing at the mid-2000s, with hook-laden riffs and driving drums that evoke the genre’s golden era—while still feeling fresh and ferociously alive.

Drummer James Martin shares: “Spotlight is out now! This was the first song we had finished for the album, written during lockdown, and it perfectly captures what h_ngm_n are about—short, punchy, and driven by hard-hitting drums and a driving rhythm guitar. We’ve been playing this one live for just over a year now… it’s one of our favourite songs to play and really gets the crowd going.”
