Hooveriii announce new album ‘Manhunter’, share electrifying single ‘Westside Pavilion of Dreams’
Los Angeles psych-rock outfit Hooveriii (pronounced Hoover Three) have announced their new album ‘Manhunter’, set for release on May 16 via The Reverberation Appreciation Society / Levitation. The LP marks an evolution in the band’s sound, blending their signature psych textures with gritty, guitar-driven intensity, and showcasing a bold step into glam, garage, and post-punk influences.
Alongside the album announcement, Hooveriii have unveiled ‘Westside Pavilion of Dreams’, the first single from ‘Manhunter’. Swapping spacey synths for searing guitars, the track recalls the band’s early raw energy while embracing a cinematic, larger-than-life sound. The single is accompanied by a pop-art-inspired music video directed by Logan Feser, which contrasts themes of stagnation with striking technicolor visuals and a scrappy DIY aesthetic.
“Manhunter feels like a culmination of everything we’ve done, but with a new sense of urgency,” the band shares. “We wanted this record to hit hard, but still have those expansive, cosmic moments that keep the listener on a journey.”
