Infinite Runner releases new single ‘Yr Boi’ ahead of upcoming album ‘Time Trials’

Infinite Runner returns with ‘Yr Boi’, the second single from the upcoming album ‘Time Trials’. Written, performed, and produced by Matthew Sigur, the track confronts the disconnect between external expectations and internal thoughts—a battle between the need to appear strong and the weight of self-doubt.

Speaking on the single, Sigur shares, ”‘Yr Boi’ is about how I’m supposed to be vs. what I’m thinking. I’m supposed to be a ‘strong boy,’ but really I’m thinking that I’m a piece of shit or about some embarrassing thing from the past. Blowing that up and realizing it’s not benefiting anyone is necessary.”

‘Yr Boi’ follows Infinite Runner’s 2024 ‘Piece of Cake’ EP and showcases the continued evolution of Sigur’s dynamic and introspective songwriting. The forthcoming album ‘Time Trials’ was produced, mixed, mastered, and engineered by George and Natalie Pauley of The By-Gods, who also contributed additional instrumentation and background vocals. Paul Kintzing (German Error Message) and Gaeb Cardinale also assisted with engineering and production, helping to shape the sonic identity of the record.
