Irish-American artist Brianna McGeehan shares new single ‘The Roses’
Acclaimed Irish-American singer-songwriter Brianna McGeehan returns with her highly-anticipated new single ‘The Roses’. Known for her poignant storytelling and genre-blending sound, McGeehan’s latest track delves into themes of loss, resilience, and the bittersweet process of letting go.
Inspired by a childhood best friend who left her past behind to begin anew, ‘The Roses’ tells a story of sacrifice and transformation. “In the story, me and her closest friends are the roses she pulled up with the weeds,” McGeehan explains. “It’s about what’s given up in the pursuit of moving forward, and how those choices shape who we become.”
The track combines McGeehan’s signature blend of acoustic warmth with subtle electronic flourishes, creating a soundscape that is as intimate as it is expansive. Recorded at the secluded Sunwapta Studio outside Athens, GA, the single was co-produced by Colin Agnew and Drew de Man, frequent collaborators who have helped shape McGeehan’s dynamic and emotive sound.
