Ive (Korean: 아이브; stylized as IVE) is a South Korean girl group formed by Starship Entertainment. The group is composed of six members: Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo. They made their debut on December 1, 2021 with the single album Eleven. The group was dubbed as “Global Super Rookie” and has solidified their position as “4th Generation Representative Girl Group” due to their continuous presence in local and domestic charts. The group’s name, Ive, is a contraction for “I have”. It alludes to the idea of confidently showing what “I have” to the audience. “It’s a debut so the sound choice is quite classic for new girl groups nowadays and to be honest, it’s kind if what we expect from any new girl group these days anyway. The thing is that it shouldn’t be the case. I think there is room for improvement and with these 2 songs, they’ll be able to get a first look at the response they get and comeback with a better sound next year.”
