IZ*ONE Songs Ranked
Iz*One (/ˈaɪz wʌn/EYEZ-wun; Korean: 아이즈원, Aijeuwon; Japanese: アイズワン, Aizuwan; stylized as IZ*ONE) was a South Korean–Japanese girl group formed through the Mnet reality competition show Produce 48. The group was composed of twelve members: Jang Won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Jo Yu-ri, Choi Ye-na, An Yu-jin, Nako Yabuki, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Hitomi Honda, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-ju, and Lee Chae-yeon. The group was co-managed by Off the Record and Swing Entertainment. Throughout the group’s active years, they released two studio albums (one Korean and one Japanese), seven extended plays (four in Korean and three in Japanese). Despite initial talks of a possible contract extension, they officially disbanded on April 29, 2021. Here are all of IZ*ONE songs ranked.

10. D-D-Dance (D-D-Dance, 2021)
“There is a song like this on every girl groups b-sides. The characteristic section is the harmonic in the chorus, some kind of descending half note with close second intervals in staccato percussive synthesized vocal.”
9. Sequence (One-reeler / Act IV, 2020)
“The chorus and post-chorus breakdown of that song is insane and the hooks stick so much, with some interesting production without becoming as chaotic as Panorama is (love that song but it can be exhausting at points). It’s still very funky, but less groove and more intensity. The verses could be a tad better, but even then I listen to this at least twice a day ever since it came out.”
8. Panorama (One-reeler / Act IV, 2020)
“For me, ‘Panorama’ sounds like a party-like, forgettable ‘Fiesta’ (at least the chorus and post-chorus) and I would take the latter anytime. Despite really loving the group, a consistent problem I`m having with their songs this year is that the instruments in the three comebacks have completely overpowered their voice, a problem with the sound mixing.”

7. Beware (Twelve, 2020)
“IZ*ONE aren’t just artists, they’re a lifestyle, a reason to breathe, an escape from this cruel world filled with thieves. They’re art, the first gift you open on christmas, a hug from a loved one, everything you’ve ever wanted, everything you need.”
6. Secret Story of the Swan (Oneiric Diary, 2020)
“Actually this song grew a lot on me after listening to it a few times! Normally I’m also not the biggest fan of songs that have a “non-chorus chorus” but then it hugely depends on the instrumental melody for me and I’ve always been a fan of the instrumental side of IZ*ONE’s title tracks.”
5. Daydream (Bloom*Iz, 2020)
“Nice choice! I definitely would’ve chosen “Open Your Eyes” as my favourite, but Daydream was one of the other ones a liked the most. It seems that most WIZ*ONES have their eyes (no pun intended) on Eyes and Someday, so it’s nice to have someone favour the other tracks. I also actually found BLOOM*IZ to be a lot better than their last album, so I found it interesting that you thought the opposite.”

4. Fiesta (Bloom*Iz, 2020)
“It’s definitely growing on me, just like their other singles. It’s not a song I’ll actively look out for myself, but if it shows up on my playlist, then I probably won’t skip it. I appreciate that IZ*ONE is developing a signature sound, at least. That’s something the other Produce-offspring never really committed to.”
3. Violeta (Heart*Iz, 2019)
“This is such an underrated title track of IZ*ONE. This deserves more love and support! Everything in this MV is just so good! Their vocals, choreo, visuals, and the mv set are amazing! The song and the visuals are literally immaculate.”
2. Hey. Bae. Like It. (Heart*Iz, 2019)
“This is my favorite IZ*ONE song. I’ve listened to all of their songs and, while I enjoy them a lot, this one is just pure bliss to me. When they sing the lyrics ‘Hey bae like it’, it’s like they’re saying the Korean word in a fast manner. Personally, one of the most fascinating song Easter eggs I’ve known. Makes the experience of listening this already blissful song a nicer one.”
1. La Vie en Rose (Color*Iz, 2018)
“When I first heard the teaser (which had just the chorus), I was immediately hooked because the direction was clearly much more unique by being classy rather than being completely cute or completely girl-crush, plus the production seemed refined. That being said, after hearing the whole song, I did feel as if the transition between the powerhouse pre-chorus and the drop in the chorus is a bit disparate and drastic, but that personally did not take away from my experience with the song.”
