Jacob the Horse unleash punk-horror riot ‘666 Chicks’

Los Angeles indie-punks Jacob the Horse return with their mayhem-fuelled new single and video ‘666 Chicks’, a frenzied, feminist, Satanic homage to Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! and AC/DC by way of riot grrrl. Directed by frontman Aviv Rubinstien, the cannibalistic horror short sees women rebel, overtake, and quite literally devour the band in a blood-soaked metaphor for vengeance, uprising, and punk rebirth.

Set in the scorched California desert, the song rides fast and dirty through spiked riffs and barbed lyrics like: “My grandmother Hannah used to throw Molotov cocktails at Nazis…”, drawing a chilling line between WWII resistance and modern protest fatigue.

It’s the latest glimpse into the band’s upcoming album ‘At Least It’s Almost Over’, out March 20, produced by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Jeff Rosenstock). Raw, riotous, and razor-tongued, the track channels the venom of Dead Kennedys and the chaos of early PUP, all while offering a darkly satirical nod to punk’s most vital voice today: women.
