Jumper Boy return with live favourite ‘Elephants’

Sheffield indie outfit Jumper Boy have finally released ‘Elephants’, a track long beloved by fans at shows and now given the full studio treatment with the help of Leeds producer Bob Cooper (itoldyouiwouldeatyou, Johnny Foreigner).

Built around tightly woven guitar interplay and a bass-driven chorus that swings between intricate and irresistibly danceable, ‘Elephants’ finds the band at a new creative peak; complex and textured, yet effortlessly melodic.

Lyrically, the single takes a darker turn. Framed as one side of an unresolved argument, it delves into burnout, friendship strain, and mental fatigue, with haunting imagery that lingers long after the final chord.

Having become a cornerstone of their live set since the Songs About Furniture EP era, this long-awaited recording of ‘Elephants’ captures both the energy of their shows and a growing lyrical ambition, a fan favourite now fully realised.
