Justin Webb & The Noise deliver their swaggering new single ‘Desperate Man’
Following on from their much-loved initial offerings ‘Stupid Young’ and ‘A Rose To Chew On’ earlier this year, US outfit Justin Webb & The Noise are back once again with their swaggering new single ‘Desperate Man’.
Bringing back more of that fresh and lively garage-rock aesthetic they are quickly earning a reputation for, ‘Desperate Man’ makes for a dazzling return for them. With its killer hooks and infectious grooves throughout, they are certainly looking to get our hips shaking with this one.
Speaking about the track, Webb said, “Desperate Man was originally about the end of a relationship that you never wanted to leave. Someone had left you, but you wanted them to know it was a mistake … and, you wanted them back — and one day you’d be back… and they’d realize then who you really are … and they’d love you – all talking to yourself in your own head…
“Over the years the meaning of the song changed for me. It became more about my relationship with music and wanting to get back out there. Again – just in my own head and wanting to return to something that may have left me behind at some point. I think it’s something anyone can relate to. We all have goals or relationships (people, art , careers, or whatever) that have ended, and we think, sometimes in our own minds (or maybe screaming inside an empty car) that— “They don’t know what they missed out on. I’ll be back.”
