4. Electronic Satisfaction, 2002
“Started with a simple Amiga computer, Laidback Luke from the beginning of the 1990s has become one of most important Dutch DJs and techno producers. In doing so, he makes musical responsibility Word, yet accessible house, with many using is from other genres such as techno and pop. In 1997 he made his international breakthrough as a dj and he is seen as representative of the new generation of talents that house and techno to melt together. Only two years later is this for him in Netherlands to play. This earned him a lot of remix work on, for, among other things, Green Velvet, Moodymann, Jamie Anderson, Jark Prongo and Super funk. In the meantime, become a lot more mature and he makes his sound tracks with more song structure without denying his techno background. This makes Electronic Satisfaction a cd that except on the dance floor is also very good in the sheltered environment of a living room does.”

2. Psyched-Up – The Early Works ’96-’98, 1999
“Laidback Luke has been a stalwart of the techno-house scene from the early days, and PSYCHED-UP, a compilation of his tracks, we get to hear how he’s forged his own way. From the pure house pleasure of “Music’s Always On My Mind” to the more minimal stomp of “Mind Over Matter” or “Make Some Noise,” these tracks were meant for you to get up and dance. Even the slower tracks, like the hip-hop infused “Interluke 1,” have an undeniable groove. But Luke is just as comfortable with melody, as evidenced on “En Route” or “Out of the Dub” Indeed, the more melodic tracks are probably the stronger ones here. For instance, compare the smooth breaks of “Interluke 2” to the more harsh, “Bring the Noise,” though the acid of “”Act the Fool” adds another contrast. Luckily, he save the best for last with “Such a Dreamer,” a lovely, solid track that could probably still work in sets today.”
1. Windmill Skill, 2003
“This mix really shows the talent of Laidback Luke. It was recorded in one take without editing afterwards. Listen to it and you won’t believe that, especially considering the mix is 68 minutes long and has 34 tracks in it… Highly recommended!”
