Lord Jane erupt with cathartic new single ‘Kaleidoscopes’

After making waves with their debut EP ‘Tulips’, rising Irish outfit Lord Jane return with ‘Kaleidoscopes’, a fierce and emotionally charged new single that channels raw power and lyrical clarity into something both thought-provoking and sonically exhilarating.

While ‘Tulips’ explored deeply personal terrain, ‘Kaleidoscopes’ pivots outward, confronting global disillusionment and systemic violence with wide-eyed intensity. “It’s a love letter to our childhood innocence,” says frontwoman Clodagh May, “and how simple the world looks through our privileged, rainbow-tinted eyes.” That innocence is shattered here, through both May’s emotive vocal performance and the band’s masterful dynamics, which twist from hypnotic grooves into searing, high-octane climaxes.

Tracked live once again at Analogue Catalogue Recording Studio and mixed by bassist Carl Small, the band’s signature live energy pulses throughout. Off-kilter time shifts and dreamy interludes add complexity, but Lord Jane never stray far from the gut-punching immediacy that earned them comparisons to “Godzilla-sized hooks and irresistible grooves” (Hot Press).

With ‘Kaleidoscopes’, Lord Jane sound more vital and fearless than ever. The track is a bold step forward, and a tantalising preview of what’s to come on their forthcoming second EP, due later this year.
