Lost Velvet preview debut album with new single ‘Dark Cells’
Alt-rock duo Lost Velvet have unveiled ‘Dark Cells’, a new single exclusively released via Forbury Lion, ahead of their debut album planned for 2026.
Written and performed by Robert Butcher with Melissa Morris, the track layers immersive guitar textures and atmospheric rhythms with dual vocal interplay. The production was completed in-house, with mixing by Michael Patterson and mastering by Maor Appelbaum.
The single signals the band’s heaviest direction to date while maintaining their cinematic, textured approach. Early BBC Introducing support helped establish Lost Velvet as a rising presence in the UK alternative scene.
