9. Just Can’t Wait
“This is a classic album. Not a lame song in the bunch. The J. Geils Band have a way of combining soulfulness, raw power, melodicism, and a sense of irreverence into an irresistable mix of great music.”
8. Takin’ You Down
“The atmospheric (but not overly sugary) keyboards, high-energy vocals, and dynamic rhythm section, combined with the precise, soulful harmonica playing of Magic Dick and energetic, imaginative guitaring of J. Geils produces an unbeatable combination.”
7. No Anchovies, Please
“The song “No Anchovies, Please” isn’t really a song; it’s a comedy routine about a woman who becomes the victim of three mad scientists.”

6. Tryin’ Not to Think About It
“This album is the precursor to their smash album Freeze Frame. The J. Geils Band should be credited for taking risks and trying something new, not blasted for going “commercial.””
5. Till the Walls Come Tumblin’ Down
“Not the Full House rock party but nothing will come close to that. This was and still is a great album they put together before they started to go more commercially pop/rockish.”
4. Desire (Please Don’t Turn Away)
“Best thing about this album is the great artwork of cover and inlay. The music reflects the commercial turn that the J. Geils Band took, which effectively led them to increase sales at the (minor) cost of losing some of their longtime fans.”
3. Love Stinks
“The title track, Love Stinks, is a radio classic. Very funny but also with an unforgettable melody and rhythm. And did I mention that Magic Dick is an amazing harmonica player? He adds a lot to all the songs”
2. Night Time
“The fact that 26 years later, their version of the Strangeloves’ song Night Time is being used in a TV ad says to me this was the definitive version, with Peter Wolf’s confident strut all over it”
1. Come Back
“Love the hard guitar riff at the start. Good guitar solo then the drums excellent then the piano. Then the second music break with the synth i was waiting for slyvestar to start singing “do you wanna funk”. Song turned in to a funk song.”
