4. Here Comes The Fuzz (2003)
“Mark Ronson’s commercial debut is quite interesting. The feature list is impressive and diverse, and the influences follow suit. This predates the Ronson that got famous producing for Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, and while he’s not always a straight up hip-hop producer, this LP makes it clear if he wanted to stick in the avenue, he certainly could’ve.”
3. Late Night Feelings (2019)
“‘Late Night Feelings’ is a slight, beat driven and gently infectious song which eases you into the album. It features the best performance I’ve heard from Lykke Li in years. I’m impressed that Ronson has been brave enough to kick things off on such a pleasantly low key note.”
2. Version (2007)
“Version has a handful of very clever interpretations with Amy Winehouse’s appearance being the standout highlight of the record. Valerie not only launched this record but strangely enough, its probably the song Winehouse is most famous for as well. On the plus side the record is bursting with variety and style and its obvious that the artist is a produced by trade.”
1. Uptown Special (2015)
“It’s not an inspired lyrical work, or even a major step in the urban pop field. But it’s so amazing in it’s way to share stories about having fun and living the night. Everything here works, thanks to a gorgeous production and so well delivered performances.”
