Mascot Graveyard introduce their debut EP ‘Maybe, Later’ with two emotionally charged singles

Emerging from the DIY ethos of bedroom recordings, Mascot Graveyard has evolved into a full-fledged four-piece emo band, drawing inspiration from Touche Amore, Militarie Gun, and La Dispute. Over the past year, the band has dedicated themselves to crafting their sound, playing live shows, and building toward the release of their first EP, “Maybe, Later”, a two-song introduction to their raw, cathartic energy.

Recorded over two days in August 2024 at Tidal Wave Recordings in Brighton, the EP marks Mascot Graveyard’s first time tracking together as a band—a transformative experience that gave them new perspective on their songs. “Hearing these tracks come to life in the studio got us really excited to record more,” the band shares. “Sam & Alessandro at Tidal Wave were amazing to work with, helping us refine our strengths and push past creative uncertainties.”

The lead single ‘Caught Up in the Webbing’ captures the internal struggle of feeling lost in a cycle of depression, without clear answers or direction. “I wrote the lyrics when I was in a dark place, not knowing why or how to deal with it,” the band explains. “But I’ve come to realize that one thing that always helps me now is taking a step back from all the noise in life and grounding myself in the things that really matter.”
