Matías Roden delivers his breezy new single ‘Close Your Eyes’

Following on from the rousing response to his much-loved initial offerings ‘Great Escape’ and ‘Snow Angel’ in recent months, Canadian artist Matías Roden is back on the grind once again with his breezy new single ‘Close Your Eyes’.

Lifted from his eagerly-awaited debut EP, which is set to land soon, ‘Close Your Eyes’ makes for a wonderfully warm and inviting listen. With his spellbinding vocals spread across a euphoric new wave-inspired production throughout, he is continuing to shine as one of the more exciting names on the rise right now.

Adding about the track, he said, “I wanted the lyrics to be a little creepy to mirror how this character singing thinks of himself, like a monster for hurting someone else emotionally. It’s about what keeps you up at night when you go to sleep, what’s inside your mind that is torturing you.”
