Meagre Martin releases emotionally charged single ‘In The Room’ ahead of ‘Up To Snuff’ EP

Berlin-based indie outfit Meagre Martin are kicking off 2025 with the release of their poignant new single ‘In The Room’. The track comes just ahead of their performance at ESNS in Groningen and is the latest preview from their upcoming EP ‘Up To Snuff’, set to drop on February 14th.

‘In The Room’ is a slow-burning, emotionally intense track that delves into the pervasive issue of toxic masculinity. Encased in a sludgy, bubbling soundscape, the song is a heartfelt letter to young boys who are shaped and crushed by societal expectations of what it means to be a man.

“The song brings listeners into a space—or more poignantly, a room—where these emotions are confronted head-on,” says the band. With its raw vulnerability and evocative sound, ‘In The Room’ invites reflection and conversation around deeply ingrained cultural norms.
