Mirages return with explosive new single ‘House of Cards’

Gloucestershire-based alternative rock band Mirages are back with their high-energy new single ‘House of Cards’. A grunge-infused anthem of frustration and release, the track blends hard-hitting riffs, infectious grooves, and raw, melodic vocals, marking the band’s next chapter as they continue to evolve their signature sound.

With influences ranging from Nirvana to Queens of the Stone Age, ‘House of Cards’ channels pent-up anger and disillusionment, using the imagery of a fragile, collapsing structure to reflect the emotional weight of putting faith in someone, only to be let down.

“The song is about that moment when you finally let go—whether it’s a relationship, a friendship, or a situation that’s been weighing you down. The house of cards metaphor felt like the perfect way to express how unstable trust and love can be,” the band explains.
