8. Respect M.E., 2006
“One of a few female MC’s, Missy came on and took the music world by storm! Here is a collection of songs by her that had me jumping in my seat as well as on my feet….STILL! Within the collection is her first, THE RAIN, and scattered throughout, are songs that just give the body LIFE! GOSSIP FOLKS, WORK IT, LOSE CONTROL….just EVERYTHING that made her the superstar that she is. Also included are a couple of R&B tracks that took me by surprise. The best part of these tracks is that they didn’t take her past her range. She knew just how far she could sing these songs and she stayed within her range, and she did, and they made the songs THAT much more! Missy is a true artist in every sense of the word, and this collection is proof positive of that!”
7. Iconology, 2019
“This was a short but extremely impressive EP that will without beautifully usher an album as she has so much to offer and her creativity is out of this world and her energy is so missed and needed more than ever. I highly recommend y`all to hit up your nearest music outlet and cop this EP.”
6. The Cookbook, 2005
“This album is wearing me out as I wear it out! Can you imagine a middle-aged white-boy banker queen jumping around in his SUV on the way to work in downtown San Francisco. This album is off the hook, the counter, the floor, the ceiling, the globe. “

5. Da Real World, 1999
“This album definitely was a highlight for Missy’s career. With Timbaland’s darker, uptempo, and catchy beats, there goes Missy’s raunchy, and darker lyrics, and her singing vocals. Now, while I can say that in some songs, most of the collaborators often take the spotlight from her, which is quite obvious when it comes to “Busa Rhyme” with Eminem, “Stickin’ ChIckens” with Aaliyah and Da Brat, and “Crazy Feelings” with Beyonce, this is definitely one of her best albums. This is a classic and a go-buy.”
4. This Is Not A Test!, 2003
“While THIS IS NOT A TEST! is definitely not the highlight of Missy Elliott’s discography, it is by no means a bad album. This is still signature Missy with her R&B balladry and alternative rap “freshness”. The production is flawless and the arrangements are as unpredictable as ever. Missy spits rhymes and croons sultry ballads. Yet, THIS IS NOT A TEST! does have its high points as well as low points.”
3. Under Construction, 2002
“Missy Elliot’s Under Construction, produced by the 2nd best hip hop producer in the business, is full of all-star contributors which gives her album the variety necessary to be entertaining the whole way through. While lots of hip hop artists are selling misery, violence, self-pity, and trash-talk against rival mc’s, Missy Elliot gives her fans nothing but a good time in Under Construction, which stays real and heartfelt but never takes itself too seriously. A lot of artists could stand to benefit from some of the advice Missy offers in this album, about letting go of petty bullshit and having fun. There’s also a lot of tributes on this album, especially to Aaliyah, which is fine with me.”

2. Miss E …So Addictive, 2001
“Missy has great energy on here, with Timbaland’s beats on most of the album matching her energy pretty well. She knows how to make a great song that can you put on when you want to just vibe or just party. This album has a ton of those songs here, and Missy nails just about all of them.”
1. Supa Dupa Fly, 1997
“WOW, this was a real breath of fresh air back in the day. Coupled with Timbaland funky, restless production Missy Elliott gets her personality and subversive approach across brilliantly. Timbaland was clearly one of the top producers in rap, he does a fantastic job here and missy fits his style hand in glove. What I like about this record is its solid RnB approach, without losing its modernity. Missy just sings and raps so good and she makes the whole package fresh, fun, and sexy.
