1. Late Nite (1989)
“The title track is a beautiful instrumental gem, as is the track “I’ll Be Waiting”. Songs like “Softly” and “Rain’s Comin’ Down” add to the very soft, relaxed feel of much of the album. “Smoke Of The Revolution”, on the other hand, is a somewhat up-tempo track, which includes Jonathon Cain’s masterful keyboards and backing vocals from Sheryl Crow, among others. The only track that I’m not crazy about is the last one, “Blackened Bacon”. The lyrics are a bit goofy, and the track in general isn’t that strong. I would have preferred another sweet instrumental track to close out this otherwise sparkling collection. Still, even that track is not bad by any means.”
