Oaknoll share high-energy new single ‘Mood’ ahead of 2025 debut album
Eugene, Oregon’s punk newcomers Oaknoll have dropped their latest single ‘Mood’—a fiery burst of garage rock energy that captures the raw, cathartic spirit of early British punk and modern indie grit.
Formed in late 2023 after a chance meeting between bassist-turned-frontman William Sommer and drummer Max Kant at a potluck, Oaknoll quickly evolved into a DIY staple of Eugene’s underground scene. With a rotating lineup and a handful of sweaty local shows under their belt, the current incarnation sees William and Max joined by multi-instrumentalist Case Federal as the band builds momentum toward their debut album ‘Self Analysis’, due out in 2025.
Their new track ‘Mood’ is an explosive anthem tailor-made for late-night mosh pits and letting loose. Clocking in at just under two minutes, the song wastes no time delivering jagged guitars, infectious hooks, and a bridge at the 56-second mark that kicks things into overdrive. It’s an ode to angst, tension, and release—perfect for dancing the frustration out of your bones.
Fans of Ty Segall, The Damned, and gritty, lo-fi punk will feel right at home in Oaknoll’s world. As the band continues to write and perform throughout Oregon, ‘Mood’ offers a taste of the chaos to come.
