Odd Marshall ignites with defiant new single ‘Run’ ahead of sophomore album ‘Seconds’

Singer-songwriter Odd Marshall returns with ‘Run’, a fiery new single that channels simmering frustration into a rallying cry. Opening with a laid-back, swampy groove reminiscent of J.J. Cale’s steady pulse, the track gradually intensifies, building toward a blistering, chant-along refrain that flips its easygoing feel into something far more confrontational.

Driven by nimble guitar lines and a rhythm section that moves with quiet confidence before erupting, ‘Run’ pairs an unassuming sonic palette with lyrics that cut deep. What begins as playful quickly morphs into something urgent and explosive, capturing the feeling of disillusionment boiling over.

‘Run’ precedes Marshall’s second full-length album Seconds, due March 6. Produced and mixed by Blind Melon guitarists Rogers Stevens and Christopher Thorn, the record blends alternative rock, Americana, and folk-leaning grit. Featuring contributions from Foo Fighters keyboardist Rami Jaffee and Mathias Schneeberger (The Afghan Whigs), Seconds promises driving rhythms, sharp lyricism, and a rebellious spirit rooted in both ‘70s songwriting tradition and ‘90s guitar rock intensity.
