3. A Moment Apart (2017)
“Odesza’s third album comes with refinement, song-writing, and maturity that comes after steady growth and solidity from their first two albums. What started as a free mix-tape from “Summer’s Gone” comes this recent gem of an album, fleshing out their previous works with full-fledged songs and choruses, pulsating anthems, and at the same time sticking to their formulaic chill wave sound that is great adventuring or relaxing, jammin’ out or chillaxin’ out, pensive thinking or livin’ out loud.”
2. Summer’s Gone (2012)
“Most excellent! Fresh and smooth! Soothing sounds that I highly recommend. Odesza makes some beautiful sounds, you really should check this out! This is a really good work if you like contemporary electronica”
1. In Return (2014)
“The intro, “Always This Late”, is captivating and has a great feel to it that gets you excited for the rest of the album. “Say My Name” has great rhythms that play together behind the fantastic vocals by Zyra and a touch of crisp rising arps. “Bloom” has amazing bass and is just plain cool. “Kusanagi” is a different feeling, slower piece, perfectly placed in the middle of the album. “It’s Only” is another standout track, again, featuring atmospheric vocals by Zyra. “Memories That You Call” reminds me a bit of M83 and is a really good feeling song. “For Us” is a perfect album closer, which makes you want to go right back to the start and play the album again. The tracks I did not mention are great too, but these are the ones that stood out to me the most.”
