Poor Bambi unleash grunge-soaked anthem ‘Midtown Madness’

Stavanger noise-rock trio Poor Bambi return with ‘Midtown Madness’, a gritty, emotionally charged dive into the imagined burnout of a New York taxi driver, stuck in gridlock while life speeds past. Blending brutal distortion with raw vulnerability, the track surges between grunge grit and melodic outbursts, capturing the inner chaos of exhaustion, ambition, and longing for escape.

Fronted by the fierce Sarah Hestness on vocals and guitar, Poor Bambi continue to carve their place in Norway’s underground scene with their punchy, genre-blurring sound. ‘Midtown Madness’ follows on from breakout single ‘Unbreakable’, which gained praise from KEXP and NRK P13, and hints at bigger things ahead, especially with rumours swirling around a debut album produced by Nick Sansano (Sonic Youth, Public Enemy).

Fusing elements of punk, noise, and raw melody, the band deliver a sonic uppercut that mirrors the turbulence of the story they’re telling. Whether it’s a live show or a three-minute blast like this one, Poor Bambi demand to be felt.
