Repeat fire back with snarling new single ‘Nothing New’
Swedish punk outfit Repeat return with ‘Nothing New’, a snarling, sub-three-minute blitz of melodic rage, sarcasm, and blistering disillusionment. Out via TH Records (Aloaded), it’s the follow-up to their explosive title track ‘Celebrate’, and the second glimpse into their upcoming EP of the same name.
Driven by a relentless riff and pounding drums, ‘Nothing New’ delivers a sharp gut-punch to the recycled noise of politics, media, and modern culture. Laced with biting call-and-response vocals, the band swings between bitterness and defiance: “Painting a picture / Selling us lies now / But we say that this is Nothing New.”
“We were tired of hearing the same bullshit on repeat,” the band says. “This song is us cutting through the noise. No polish, no filter — just fury and truth.”
Recorded once again with Joakim Lindberg at Studio Sickan in Malmö, ‘Nothing New’ channels Repeat’s raw energy into their sharpest, most urgent sound yet.
