REVERSE YR CURSE explore emotional exhaustion and existential drift on new single ‘Who Cares’
Richmond indie-rock trio REVERSE YR CURSE have returned with ‘Who Cares’, the latest preview of their upcoming debut LP ‘Where Are We Going and When Will We Get There?’, set for release on September 19. The track finds the band diving headfirst into themes of disconnection, burnout, and that unshakable question of whether any of it really matters.
Built around gently off-kilter guitars and bittersweet harmonies, ‘Who Cares’ is both introspective and immediate, a song that feels like it was written in the middle of a long walk home. The band’s lyrical focus is laser-sharp, taking on both personal and collective anxieties with a kind of weary grace. There’s heartbreak in the delivery, but also flickers of something warmer underneath, a sort of exhausted hope.
The single offers a taste of what’s to come on ‘Where Are We Going and When Will We Get There?’, a record that trades in melancholy, memory, and meaning with a deeply human touch. Across the album, bandmates Matthew, Bret, and Bonnie embrace a sound that blends classic indie textures with art-rock detail, never shying away from big questions but always keeping one foot grounded in the everyday.
