REVIEW: Bad Vision – ‘2’

Ever since they first broke through with their much-loved self-titled debut album in 2022, Finnish outfit Bad Vision have always looked to explore a more diverse appeal than many in their field. Creating this brilliantly broad and inventive pursuit that covers everything from Celtic punk to ska and classic rock, the band’s adventurous spirit has always been a mainstay of their legacy to date. And after the positive response to their much-loved comeback single ‘Everything’ and ‘My Leaf So Green’ earlier this year, they are back on the grind once again to deliver their vibrant sophomore LP ‘2’, a record brimming with more of that innovative direction they are known for.

While keen to explore a more focused direction this time around, ‘2’ instantly looks to set itself up as one of their more engaging releases to date. Honing some brilliantly catchy riffs and infectious hooks as often as possible, the band find themselves in fine form as they unveil some brilliantly fun and enjoyable gems here. With yet more swaggering guitar licks and playful songwriting at every turn, Bad Vision continue to ascend as one of the more dynamic names on the rise today.

While some bands tend to venture into more risky territory for their second record, Bad Vision have kept very much to the same raucous formula they have always explored. Delivering one catchy belter after another, ‘2’ is another shining example of their stellar presence on the new music scene right now.
